The Lomo’Instant Oxford is a special edition of the Lomo’Instant. The instant camera for the Instax format was introduced on 4th September 2017.
Like all Lomo’Instant editions, this one is named after a place. This time it hit the capital of the county of Oxfordshire in England, United Kingdom.
The feature set of Lomo’Instant Oxford is congruent with the other editions of the instant camera. For example, it comes with interchangeable lenses (depending on what is included), offers the possibility for multiple exposures and comes with a Bulb mode. There is also a mirror for selfies and, of course, a built-in flash.
The Instax Mini instant films from Fujifilm are required for taking photos with the Lomo’Instant Oxford. These are not included and must be purchased separately. Fortunately, the films are still in production and are very solid.
The current color film for this type of camera is the Instax Mini Film*. One film cassette is enough for 10 pictures. One image is about the size of a credit card. The portrait format makes it great for portraits and selfies. The border around the pictures is white and can be written on. In addition to the color film, there is also a black and white film with the Instax Mini Monochrome*.
For the power needed, you need four AAA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). These batteries can be found in most supermarkets, electronics stores or even supermarkets. Of course, there are also in many online stores. Here, for the sake of the environment, you can also use rechargeable AAA batteries.
Besides the Lomo’Instant Oxford, there are many other Special Editions of the instant camera, such as the Lomo’Instant Sanremo, Honolulu, Montenegro, Boston, Kyoto, Havana, Lake Tahoe, Marrakesh, Milano, Mumbai, Murano, Panama, Yangon and Reykjavik.
