The Lomo LC-A+ 30th Anniversary Edition is a special edition. It was introduced on the occasion of Lomography’s 30th anniversary in 2022. The year 1992 is considered the starting year of the Lomography movement.
The model has an anniversary emblem on the back and is wrapped in black leather. In addition to this model, a birthday edition of the LC-Wide and LC-A 120 was also introduced. The camera is built in China.
The still camera comes with a lens that cannot be changed and is made of glass. The manufacturer’s name of the lens is “Minitar-1”. The focal length is 32 mm and the maximum aperture is f/2.8. The 35mm photo camera does not have an autofocus. Focusing is manual. The closest focusing distance is 80 cm. It has a zone focus system with four setting options.
The Lomo LC-A+ 30th Anniversary Edition has a built-in light meter. It is designed for films from ISO 100 to ISO 1600, and the exposure settings are set automatically by the 35mm camera. The model does not have a manual mode.
An external flash can be connected to the Hot Shoe. Here, it is of course possible to use a wireless shutter release with the camera. A thread for a tripod is found on the bottom. The shutter release is equipped with a thread for a cable release.
Three LR44 batteries (eBay / Amazon*) are responsible for the power supply. This type of battery can be easily found online for little money.
Films for the Lomo LC-A+ 30th Anniversary Edition
According to the instruction manual for the Lomo LC-A+ 30th Anniversary Edition, 35mm film is exposed. 35mm film is still readily available today and is developed by most photo labs. Possible films for the Lomo camera are the Kodak Gold 200* and the Ilford HP5*. According to reviews, the films provide good results in most everyday situations.
The exposure area of the 35mm photo camera is 24mm x 36mm. The film is manually wound to the next photo. A thumbwheel is found on the back for this purpose. A manual counter on the top shows the number of pictures taken. Approximately 36 pictures can be taken per roll.
