Konica C35 EFP

The Konica C35 EFP is a 35mm camera. It was introduced in the 70s and produced by Konica in Japan.

The C35 EFP comes with a fixed 38 mm lens (Konica Hexanon 38 mm F4 Lens Japan 46⌀). The lens has a maximum aperture of f/4 and a closest focusing distance of 1.5 meters. However, the focus is fixed and cannot be changed. Just like the exposure time, which is fixed at 1/125 second.

Films for the camera

Any 35mm film (eBay / Amazon*) can be used in the Konica C35 EFP. However, it should have a sensitivity of ISO 100 or ISO 400, as only these two values are supported by the exposure meter. The sensitivity is set on the lens.

A good choice for color shots with the camera is the Kodak Ultramax 400*. Those who prefer to take monochrome pictures can buy the solid Ilford Delta 100*. Both films are offered by reputable manufacturers and deliver reproducible results with the photo camera. For development, you can take them to a photo lab normally. Usually 36 exposures are possible per roll.

The exposure meter of the Konica C35 EFP warns in low light conditions and advises to switch on the built-in flash. The meter is activated by lightly pressing the shutter button. When shooting with flash, the subject should be between 2 and 5 meters away, if it is between 1.5 and 2 meters, the close-up button on the side of the lens must be pressed.

Power for the light meter and flash comes from two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). For the sake of the environment and your wallet, you should go for rechargeable AA batteries.

According to Konica, the Konica C35 EFP weighs 300 grams, without batteries. The dimensions are 128 x 73 x 53 mm. A thread for a tripod is just as present as a thread for a filter.
