The Kodak Instamatic 44 is a simple camera. It is part of the Instamatic series. It was built from 1969 to 1973 in the USA.
The black plastic camera has a simple design. It comes with a fixed 43mm f/11 lens and an exposure time, 1/50 sec. You don’t have to do more than press the shutter button on this camera. A flash can be connected to the flashcube socket.
The Kodak Instamatic 44 requires 126 Kodapak cassettes. These films are no longer produced and there is no alternative either.
Due to the simple design, the camera only cost $9.95 at the time.
A camera very similar to the Kodak Instamatic 44 was made in Brazil, the Instamatic 11, but this one does not have a flash port. Another similar model is the Kodak Hawkeye Instamatic II.
