Kodak Instamatic cameras are, at least from today’s point of view, very simple in design.
For example, there is usually a fixed lens installed, where the focus and aperture are fixed.
There is no choice for the exposure times, or you can only choose between two options.
A light meter is therefore not necessary.
This has the advantage that no batteries are needed for the Instamatic cameras.
Kodak made many different Instamatic cameras for different film formats.
