Kodak Cameo 230 Zoom

The Kodak Cameo 230 Zoom is a snapshot camera. It was introduced by Kodak in the 90s. The model is part of the Cameo series. The housing is made of silver.

The lens of the 35mm photo camera is fixed. The zoom range of the lens goes from 26 mm to 60 mm. This corresponds to a zoom factor of 2.3. Manual focusing is not necessary with the 35mm camera. The Kodak Cameo 230 Zoom comes with an autofocus.

The camera has a built-in light meter. The exposure settings are automatically controlled and adjusted by the Kodak Cameo 230 Zoom. Even the user cannot control the camera in this respect – for example, by setting the aperture or shutter speed.

The built-in flash provides sufficient light. It is flipped up for the shot, otherwise it serves as a protection for the lens. The camera requires a CR2 battery (eBay / Amazon*).

There is a display on the top of the Cameo. This gives information about the pictures taken and helps to select the modes. There is a landscape mode, a self-timer and the possibility to turn off the flash completely.

Both are very good films for use on vacation, at a wedding or in general in everyday life.

Value of the camera

The value of a copy should not be set too high. In any case, one does not have a treasure in one’s hands. Cameras with similar features are in the range of 5-20 Euro.
