Hanimex 35SE

The Hanimex 35SE is a 35 mm camera. It was built by the company Haking in Hong Kong. The model is very similar to the Halina Flash 350 in appearance and functions.

The 35mm camera comes with a fixed lens. The name of the manufacturer for the lens is “Hanimar Lens f5.6 38mm”. The focal length is 38mm. The largest aperture is f/5.6. The focus of the lens is fixed, so there is no need to focus. A filter can be attached to the 43mm thread.

The correct exposure cannot be measured by the 35mm camera, because it does not have a light meter. Although there is an ISO setting, it is only connected to the aperture.

There is a built-in flash for taking pictures in low light conditions. When using the flash, the camera sets the aperture to f/5.6, otherwise the maximum aperture is f/9.6.

The Hanimex 35SE has a thread for a tripod and cable release. The power source of the camera are two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). The housing of the camera is made of plastic.

Films for the Hanimex 35SE

For taking pictures with the Hanimex 35SE, 35mm films are needed. These films are still being produced and the development is offered by most photo labs. A 35mm film for color pictures is the Kodak Ultramax 400*. A possible black and white film is the Ilford XP2 Super*.

The color film is processed in the C-41 process. This development process is carried out by all photo laboratories offering the development of 35mm films.

The exposure area of the Hanimex 35SE is 24 mm x 36 mm big. As a rule, 36 shots are possible per film (135-36) at this negative size. The film must be winded manually by the photographer.
