The SPRING 2021 is designed for color photos. The film speed is specified with ISO 200. It is an effect film. It is a regular color negative film from a major manufacturer that is hand processed to achieve a specific effect.

More precisely, this specimen is a film soup film. In this type of pretreatment, the film stock is immersed in various liquids. The liquids change the emulsion of the film. The film is then dried and can be exposed normally. In this edition, the film stock was immersed in a liquid containing seasonal natural found objects from the spring of 2021 in Germany.

In the finished images, there may then be color shifts, for example, or parts of the images are no longer visible at all.

Development of the film

The development of the film is done in C-41 photochemistry. Many photo labs offer development of color negative film. This development process is standardized. Development at DM-Markt and Rossmann is possible. After development, prints can be made from the negatives.

With this type of effect film, you have to be a little careful with the development. This is because possible residues of the liquids with which the film was treated can get into the developing chemistry. This is especially important to keep in mind when reusing parts of the chemistry for other films.

Formats

You can purchase the SPRING 2021 for 35mm format only. With a 2×3 aspect ratio, the number of frames for a roll of film is 36. There is no medium format film.
