Fujifilm Fotorama 90 ACE

The Fujifilm Fotorama 90 ACE is an instant camera. It was introduced in the 1990s. The camera has since been discontinued.

The Fujifilm Fotorama 90 ACE is characterised by its ease of use. The majority of the setting parameters familiar from other cameras are not available on this version. Thanks to its simplicity, it can be used for many different occasions. For example, it is a good choice for parties and also cuts a great figure at weddings. But it is also great fun on holiday.

The lens has a fixed focal length. It is not possible to change the lens. The model does not have a zoom function. A minimum distance of 90 cm from the subject should be maintained for sharp images. You can choose between two distance settings (0.9 m to 3 m, 3 m to infinity).

A flash is not missing on this model. The flash is triggered automatically when the picture is taken. Especially in poor lighting conditions, you are often grateful for the flash.

There is no tripod thread, as found on many cameras. And what about a self-timer? This function is not available.

Films for the Fujifilm Fotorama 90 ACE

If you want to use the instant camera, you need the corresponding instant films. The Fotorama 90 ACE is designed for InstantACE films. This film format was introduced by Fujifilm in the 1990s. It has an ISO sensitivity of ISO 800. The films are no longer produced.

The Fotorama series was particularly popular in Japan. Outside of Japan, Polaroid dominated the instant film market.

Alternative models

If you can’t find the camera you want, you should look at other options. Good alternatives are the Polaroid Spirit 600* and Polaroid OneStep Express*. These are models with a comparable range of functions. They are suitable for the 600 format.

There are also other alternatives to Polaroid cameras. Exciting models include the Instax Mini 90* and Instax Mini 11*. Suitable film material is also produced for both cameras.
