The Fisheye One Ruby is a special edition of the 35mm camera with fisheye lens from Lomography. This edition of the camera from Lomography is offered exclusively by Urban Outfitters.
The camera is orange in large parts. The stripe, typical for the Fisheye One, is ruby red and a bit roughened.
In terms of features, it is congruent with the regular Fisheye One, but also with the other editions. It has a built-in flash, this is powered by an AA battery (eBay / Amazon*). The battery is only needed for the flash. The rest of the camera works purely mechanically. This also applies to the film transport. For this, a thumbwheel is found on the back of the camera.
Films for the Fisheye One Ruby
The Fisheye One Ruby uses 35mm film. 35mm film is still readily available today and is developed by most professional photo labs. These usually also offer print making and digitizing.
A good film for the camera has a high sensitivity and a wide exposure latitude. Possible films for the Lomography that you can buy online are the Kodak Ultramax 400* and the Kodak T-Max 400*. The reviews show that both films can be used in a wide range of shooting areas and produce good results. A good number of other manufacturers, not just Kodak also produce film for this format.
Color film is a color negative film and is developed using the C-41 process. Usually professional photo labs offer the C-41 process. B/W film can be developed both in a photo lab and at home. To perform the development at home, online instructions are available.
