The Fisheye One Eastpak is a special edition fisheye camera. As the name suggests, it was created in collaboration with Eastpak, the American textile manufacturer.
The design of the Lomography camera is black and red. The Eastpak logo adorns the front.
From the range of functions, the 35mm camera with fisheye optics is identical to the normal Fisheye One.
Functional overview
The camera features a fixed focal length of 10mm and a maximum aperture of f/8, allowing for a wide angle of view and plenty of depth of field. The closest focusing distance is an impressive 10 cm, so you can shoot your subject up close.
However, the camera is not equipped with a light meter, so all exposure settings are fixed, which includes aperture. The shutter speed is set to 1/100 sec, which is suitable for most daylight shooting situations.
An interesting feature of the Fisheye One Eastpak camera is the built-in flash, which can be turned on or off as desired. The flash sync speed is also 1/100 sec, which is the same as the shutter speed.
The camera is powered by a single AA battery (eBay / Amazon*), which is only needed for the flash function. The other camera functions are mechanical and do not require power.
Films for the Fisheye One Eastpak
35mm film is exposed in the Fisheye One Eastpak. This type of film is still produced and can be processed by most photo labs without any problems. Nice films for black and white or color images are the Kodak T-Max 400* and the Kodak Portra 400*.
The color film is processed using the C-41 process. This is offered by almost every photo lab. The exposure area of the 35mm camera is 24mm x 36mm.
