Silberra is a supplier of films and chemicals from Russia. The company has been producing chemicals for Russian photographers since 2009. They also run one of the oldest photo online stores in Russia, FotoApteka (d-76.ru), are an official distributor of Foma Bohemia here in Russia and an official dealer of Ilford. And also run an offline photography school in Saint Petersburg. Saint Petersburg is also where Silberra has its headquarters.
In 2017, they decided to get into film production. The reason for this was a visit to the Micron Laboratory, which has been active in the synthesis and coating of emulsions in Russia for over 80 years. The result of this cooperation was the Orta 50, and Agfa surveillance films and films from a Russian producer of special films were packaged and sold under the company's own label.
The name Silberra is derived from the German word "Silber".
