The Fujifilm Instax Wide Brushed Metallics Film is an instant film from the Japanese company Fujifilm. It is a special version of the normal Instax Wide film. The edition was introduced in February 2025.

The special thing about this version are the frames of the photos: they have a metallic look! The photos have the typical Instax Wide format, which means they are quite large (86 x 108 mm). The actual image is 62 x 99 mm.

The film has an ISO number of 800. This means it works well in different light. It takes about 90 seconds for the image to develop - depending on how warm it is. The ISO number is actually not that important, because you usually use the flash for instant photos indoors or when it is dark anyway.

Cameras for the film

The compatibility of the Instax Wide Brushed Metallics Film is designed for all cameras in the Fujifilm Instax Wide series.

Popular models such as the Instax Wide 300 or the creative Lomo’Instant Wide are ideal partners for this film. These cameras have been specially developed for the wide format and offer a variety of functions to make instant photography a fun and creative experience.

It is important to note, however, that the Instax Wide film, and thus also the Brushed Metallics variant, is not compatible with older Polaroid cameras. Polaroid cameras use a different film format and a different chemical composition, which is why the Instax Wide films do not fit in these devices.

The films or the unexposed instant photos come in a plastic cassette. There are 10 films in each cassette. If you have taken ten photos and the camera shows "0", you must insert a new cassette.
