The special thing about this film is that it was produced by Kodak, one of the best-known and most respected producers of film material in the world. It is recut material from cinema film production: large rolls of film material that were originally intended for cinema film production are assembled by hand into 35 mm cartridges. This complex process enables photographers to use high-quality material that was originally developed for completely different purposes.

The World 200/5213 film is essentially the Kodak VISION3 200T, a film that was specially designed for shooting under artificial light. This special feature makes it ideal for indoor scenes or under artificial lighting where other films might show color shifts.

Developing the film

A key point when using this film is the special development: it must be developed using the ECN-2 process. This process is usually used in film studios and is very different from the conventional C-41 process, which is common for most color negative films in the photography sector.
