Cyberpunk 320T

The Cyberpunk 320T is a color negative film. Cyberpunk sells the film material under its brand. It is probably a supplier from China that offers the film online. Kodak is responsible for producing the film material.

A special feature of the VISION3 500T is that it is a film for artificial light (tungsten). Unlike digital cameras, you cannot adjust the white balance on analog cameras. To get images with correct colors under artificial light, you need a suitable film.

The Cyberpunk 320T can of course also be used under normal daylight, but color shifts can occur. Therefore, you should use an appropriate filter. However, this filter reduces the sensitivity of the film material.

Development of the Cyberpunk 320T

The VISION3 500T color negative film usually has to be processed using the ECN-2 development process. This is due, among other things, to the fact that a coating is applied to the film material that protects the film in the cinema cameras.

This layer has to be removed during development. Otherwise, the ECN-2 process is very similar to the normal C-41 process. If you develop the VISION3 500T using the C-41 process, the development bath can become contaminated.

In the case of the Cyberpunk 320T, this Remjet coating has been removed. This means that it can be developed normally using the C-41 process, which is offered by most photo labs.

Formats and cameras

The Cyberpunk 320T can be used in a normal 35mm camera. The cartridge is equipped with a DX code. There are great cameras from Minolta, Olympus and Nikon, among others. Of course, you can also use the color negative film in your Leica or Konica camera. It just has to be a camera for the 35mm format.

Cyberpunk offers the VISION3 500T under three names. It is the same material, but with different DX coding. If you can’t find these films, you can use alternatives from other suppliers who also sell Kodak film for photographers.
