The Canon AF35M II is a snapshot camera. It was sold in the 1980s. It is easy to use and can therefore be used by beginners. The model was sold in Japan as the Canon Autoboy 2 and in the US as the Canon (New) Sure Shot.
The camera comes with a fixed lens. The manufacturer’s name of the lens is “Canon Lens.” The focal length is 38 mm and the largest aperture of the lens is f/2.8, making it suitable for many everyday uses. There is no need to focus manually with the 35 mm camera. The Canon AF35M II has an autofocus system. The closest focusing distance is 90 cm with this lens.
The 35mm camera has a light meter. It is designed for films from ISO 50 to ISO 5000. The sensitivity can be set manually. This is not possible for shutter speed and aperture. The exposure settings are automatically controlled and adjusted by the electronics.
Of course, a built-in flash should not be missing. The power reaches up to 4.5 meters at ISO 100, which corresponds to a guide number of 12. The Canon AF35M II has a built-in self-timer and a thread for a tripod. The self-timer has a lead time of ten seconds. There is no connection for a cable release.
The camera weighs 300 grams. According to the manual, the dimensions are 12.5 x 7.55 x 4.6 cm. Power is supplied by two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). Here, of course, you can resort to rechargeable copies. One set of batteries is enough for so fifty rolls of film.
Films for the Canon AF35M II
