The Weist 135L is a viewfinder camera for 35mm film. It was sold under the brand name Hanimex. The model was built in Hong Kong by the company Haking. The company sold the camera under its own brand Halina as "Halina 35-600".
The lens of the camera cannot be changed. 40 mm is the focal length of the lens. The largest aperture of the camera is f/2.8. Focusing the lens has to be done manually. The closest focusing distance is 80 cm.
The 35mm camera has a built-in light meter. The light meter is designed for 35mm films from ISO 25 to ISO 400. The aperture is set on the lens.
With the PC Flash connection and Hot Shoe it is possible to use a flash light. The 35mm photo camera has a connection for a cable release. There is also a thread for a tripod.
A 1.35v PX625 mercury cell is responsible for the power supply. The production of this kind of batteries was finished in the EU. A possible replacement can be a V625U cell (eBay / Amazon*). Even better is probably the WeinCell replacement battery for PX625 (eBay / Amazon*), but it has a shorter life.

The Weist 135L needs 35mm film. This type of film is still being produced and can be processed by most photo laboratories without any problems. Possible films for the Weist 135L are the Agfaphoto Vista 200* and the AgfaPhoto APX 400*.
The color film is being developed in the C-41 process. This development process is offered by most laboratories.
The exposure area of the Weist 135L is 24 mm x 36 mm big. The film in the camera must be winded manually, as there is no automatic film transport.
