The Opticam 3000 is a 35mm camera. It was sold under the Opticam brand. The model was built by Haking in Hong Kong. There, the camera with the same function is called "Halina 3000".
The lens of the 35mm camera is fixed. The lens has the designation "Halinar Anastigmat 1:2.8 F=45mm". The focal length is 45mm. The largest aperture is f/2.8. Focusing the lens must be done by hand. The camera has no autofocus function. The closest focusing distance is 100 cm.
The Opticam 3000 comes with a light meter. The light meter works with a photocell. This measures the incoming light and does not need a battery. Over the years, however, it can lose accuracy and even stop operating completely.
The camera comes with a bulb mode. An external flash can be used via the hot shoe or PC flash port. The Opticam 3000 features is a thread for a mounting a normal tripod. There is also a connector for a cable release.
Films for the Opticam 3000
The Opticam 3000 must be equipped with 35mm films. These are still easy to get today and development services are still around. For black-and-white shots, you can go to with the Ilford XP2 Super*. For color images, the Agfaphoto Vista 200* is a possibility.
The color film is processed in the C-41 process. This development process is carried out by all photo laboratories offering the development of 35mm films.
The exposure area of the camera is 24 mm x 36 mm big. The photographer must manually wind to the next image.
The Opticam 3000 is no longer produced. The condition and functionality of the camera determine the price for a used copy.
