The Halina 260 camera model is part of Haking's portfolio. This simple device for the 35mm format was produced by the Asian company Haking. The model was also offered under different names. More details can be found at the link provided.
The Halina 260 was available in a version with a red, black or white body. It is equipped with a 33 mm lens that is permanently installed. Focus adjustment is not possible with this model. A sliding cover protects the lens.
This camera does not offer built-in exposure metering. However, the film sensitivity can be set using a slider on the front. This includes settings such as ISO 100/200, ISO 400 and ISO 1000. Depending on the ISO setting chosen, the aperture will change while the shutter speed remains constant at around 1/125 second.
A built-in flash ensures good shots in low light. This can be operated via a switch directly below.
Two AAA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) ensure the power supply, whereby they are mainly used for flash operation. If you take pictures without a flash, they are not absolutely necessary.
The model has neither a tripod thread, a self-timer nor a date function.
Film recommendations for the Halina 260
35mm film is used for the Halina 260. They are still common and can be developed in many studios. A suitable color film is the Kodak Gold 200*. The Ilford HP5* is suitable for monochrome images. Other 35mm film manufacturers are Foma, Adox and Rollei.
The color film is processed through the C-41 process, which is available from most vendors. Black and white film can be processed in professional labs or at home with the appropriate equipment. Online guides for this are readily available.
The image format of the recordings is 24 mm x 36 mm. A conventional roll of film holds approximately 36 images. The photographer has to advance the film manually to continue shooting. Rewinding is also done manually using a button and crank on the case.
