The LomoApparat Fluffy Omelet Edition is a special edition of the 35mm camera from Lomography. It was presented in April 2024.
Lomography worked with artist Fluffy Omelet on the design. Fluffy Omlet is the stage name of Thai artist Proei-Natchariya Laosrisin. She created a very bright and colorful design for the 35mm camera.
Equipped with a fixed 21 mm lens that offers a maximum aperture of f/10, this wide-angle lens captures a generous image section characterized by strong contrasts and characteristic vignetting.
The analog 35 mm camera does not have autofocus; instead, the distance is fixed. In order to achieve razor-sharp and detailed images, a minimum distance of 50 cm from the subject should be maintained.
Since the LomoApparat Fluffy Omelet Edition does not have a light meter, it cannot determine the correct exposure independently. The aperture is fixed, while the exposure time can be selected between 1/100 s (N) and bulb (B). In bulb mode, the shutter remains open until the shutter button is released.
An integrated flash ensures successful photos even in poor lighting conditions. At ISO 100, the flash ranges from 0.5 to 2 meters and can be deactivated if necessary. A special feature is the frame for color filters with which the flash light can be colored.
The camera has a tripod thread, which is particularly recommended in bulb mode to avoid camera shake. A hand strap can also be attached.
The LomoApparat Fluffy Omelet Edition is powered by a single AA battery (eBay / Amazon*), which is only required for the flash. This type of battery is widely used and inexpensive.

Films for the LomoApparat Fluffy Omelet Edition
The LomoApparat Fluffy Omelet Edition is designed exclusively for 35mm films, for which there is still a wide range of color and black and white films. Popular options include the Kodak Ultramax 400* for color images and the Ilford XP2 Super* for black and white images.
The color film is developed using the C-41 process, which is available in most photo labs and drugstores. The black and white film can be developed either in the laboratory or at home, with detailed instructions available online.
The negatives of the LomoApparat Fluffy Omelet Edition measure 24 mm x 36 mm. Since the camera doesn't have an automatic film advance, you have to manually advance to the next frame by using the thumbwheel on the back.
