The Lomo LC-A 120 is a camera from Lomography. It is the medium format version of the legendary Lomo LC-A. Lomography has been producing the camera since 2014.

The lens of the Lomo LC-A 120 is, as with the original, fixed mounted. The manufacturer's name for the lens is Minigon XL, a reference to the Minitar 32 mm lens of the LC-A. The focal length is 38 mm and the maximum aperture is f/4.5. 38 mm corresponds to approximately 21 mm on a 35 mm camera.

Images with the LC-A 120 therefore have a wide-angle look and are characterised by vignetting. The focus of the lens must be adjusted manually. There is no autofocus system, but there is a four-level zone focus system. The close-up limit is 60 cm.

The medium format camera has an exposure meter. It is designed for films with a speed of ISO 100 to ISO 1600. The correct exposure is automatically set by the camera. As with the 35mm image, there is no possibility to set the aperture and exposure time by yourself. An external flash can be ignited via the built-in hot shoe. The camera requires three LR44 batteries (eBay / Amazon*).

In addition to the camera, the scope of delivery also includes a cable release, a camera strap, batteries and operating instructions.

Films for the Lomo LC-A 120

The Lomo LC-A 120 is designed for the medium format. Some manufacturers still produce new films for the film format. Possible films for the Lomo LC-A 120 are the Lomography Color Negative 100 120* for color pictures and the Ilford Delta 100* for black and white photos.

The exposure area of the Lomo LC-A 120 is square (6x6). Usually, twelve 6x6 images fit on a normal 120-roll film. The film in the camera must be winded manually, as there is no automatic film transport.
