What kind of lens is built into the Lomo LC-A?
The Lomo LC-A has a glass lens, the Minitar-1. It was developed in St. Petersburg and has been installed in the Lomo LC-A ever since. It has a focal length of 32 mm and a maximum aperture of f/2.8. There is no zoom function.
The Lomo LC-A must be focused manually using a zone focusing system. There is a lever on the side of the 35mm camera for this purpose. The minimum focusing distance is 0.8 meters. This system allows quick focusing (keyword: shooting from the hip), of course with some practice.
The lens is responsible for the typical vignetting, contrast, and color saturation. If you also load a slide film into the camera, you get great lomophotos (Amazon).
