The Lomo LC-A 120 30th Anniversary Edition is a special edition of the LC-A 120 medium format camera that was introduced in November 2022. The occasion was the 30th anniversary of the Lomography movement. In addition to this edition, a variant of the LC-Wide and LC-A+ was also introduced.
The edition comes with a special anniversary emblem on the back and the body is covered in black leather. Under the lens, you'll find the imprint "DON'T THINK - JUST SHOOT SINCE 1992."
The name "Minigon XL" adorns the lens. The focal length is 38 mm. The largest aperture is f/4.5. The Lomo camera does not have an autofocus function. The focus is adjusted by hand through four setting options. The closest focusing distance of the lens is 60 cm. You have to estimate the distance to the subject. This camera does not have a rangefinder.
For taking pictures, the roll film camera has a light meter. This is designed for an ISO range of 100 to 1600. The exposure is set automatically by the camera. There is no manual mode. The fastest exposure time is 1/500 second. The exposure meter is powered by three LR44 batteries (eBay / Amazon*).
An external flash can be connected to the hot shoe. There is a thread for a tripod on the bottom. There is also a thread for a cable release.
Films for the Lomo LC-A 120 30th Anniversary Edition
Medium format films are exposed in the Lomo LC-A 120 30th Anniversary Edition. This type of films are still produced by some manufacturers. Possible films for the Lomography camera are the Fujifilm PRO 400H* for color photos and the Ilford FP4 Plus* for B&W photos.
The medium format captures images on film in 6x6. With this format, about twelve photos fit on one roll of film. Through a small counter on the top you can see the current frame number.
