The Halina Flash 300 is a simple viewfinder camera with a plastic housing. The 35mm camera was produced by Haking in Asia. A similar model was also sold as Hanimex 35S.

The lens of the 35mm photo camera is fixed. The name of the lens is "Halinar Lens f4 38mm". The focal length is 38mm and the largest aperture of the lens is f/4. There is no possibility to change the focus, it is fixed. A filter can be screwed onto the 43 mm thread.

The correct exposure cannot be measured by the 35mm camera because it does not have an exposure meter. The ISO setting (ISO 100 and ISO 400) only changes the aperture, there are no different results under different lighting conditions.

The Halina Flash 300 has a built-in flash. The camera comes with a thread for a tripod. It is also possible to use a cable release. The camera requires two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) for the flash to work. It can also be used without batteries.

Films for the Halina Flash 300

For taking pictures with the Halina Flash 300, 35mm films are needed. 35mm films are still produced today. They can be developed in most photo laboratories. Nice films for black-and-white or color images are the AgfaPhoto APX 400* and the Kodak Portra 400*.

The color film is being developed in the C-41 process. This is offered by almost every photo lab.

The negatives of Halina Flash 300 have a size of 24 mm x 36 mm. A 35mm film (135-36) will therefore fit around 36 frames. For the next frame, the photographer has manually wind the camera.
