The Halina 1950 Sensor is a snapshot camera that is easy to use and was particularly popular with beginners and casual users. It was manufactured by the Haking company in Hong Kong and was sold in various colors.
Technical features
The camera is equipped with a fixed lens that has a fixed focal length of 33 mm. The focus is also fixed, which makes it easier to handle. An integrated light meter enables automatic exposure setting and the camera has DX coding to detect the film speed.
Another feature is the built-in flash, which provides sufficient lighting in low light conditions. The flash can also be operated in fill-in flash mode to brighten subjects in the foreground that receive less light than the background.
It is powered by two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*), which are widely available and readily available.
Film format and development
The Halina 1950 Sensor is designed for the 35 mm format. Suitable films for color images include the Fujifilm Superia 400*, while the Ilford Delta 100* is an option for black and white images.
Color films are developed using the C-41 process, which is offered by most photo labs. Most labs also make photo prints from the negatives.
The negative format is 24 mm x 36 mm. The film is transported automatically after each shot using a built-in motor. The motor also transports the film material back into the cartridge.

The Halina 1950 Sensor is no longer available new, but can be purchased on the second-hand market. The price varies depending on the condition and functionality of the camera. The prices are on the lower end.
