The Halina AFS 700 / Halina Autofocus Sensor 700 is a compact camera for the 35mm format. It was probably made between the late 1980s and early 1990s. The Haking company is behind its production and was made from plastic in a factory in Hong Kong.

A functionally identical model was sold under the Revue 450 AF brand by the German dealer Foto Quelle.

Your lens is permanently installed and has a focal length of 34 mm and a maximum aperture of f/4.5. With the help of its autofocus system, the camera can focus independently. A sliding cover serves to protect the lens.

With its built-in exposure meter, the Halina AFS 700 determines the appropriate exposure. It reads the sensitivity directly from the film cartridge and recognizes films with ISO values of 100/200 and 400. Based on this information, the camera electronics automatically adjust the exposure. Manual adjustments are not provided for this model.

An internal flash is built into the camera, but there is no self-timer. A camera strap can be connected. There was also a matching bag.

Two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) are required for operation. You can also use rechargeable versions. The further transport of the film is automated by a built-in motor.

The Halina AFS 700 uses 35mm film. There is a rich selection of films of this format, both in color and black and white.

The Ilford Delta 100* is one of the top recommendations for black and white images. The Kodak Ultramax 400* is recommended for color recordings. Both types of film work well with this camera.

Most photo labs develop color negative film using the C-41 process. Many drugstore chains in Germany also offer this service. There are different methods for developing black and white films, which can be carried out either in specialized laboratories or at home with suitable equipment.
