The Revue 450 AF is a compact camera designed for 35mm film. The Haking company was responsible for its manufacture, and the camera was made of plastic at a factory in Hong Kong. It was sold in Germany by Foto Quelle. A similar model is the Halina AFS 700.

The lens of this camera is fixed and has a focal length of 34mm with a maximum aperture of f/4.5. Thanks to its autofocus system, it can focus automatically, and a sliding cover protects the lens.

The Revue 450 AF is equipped with an exposure meter that reads ISO sensitivity directly from the film cassette. It recognizes ISO values of 100/200 and 400. Based on this data, the camera electronics adjust the exposure, although manual adjustments are not possible with this model.

A built-in flash complements the camera, but there is no self-timer. However, a camera strap is already available.

The camera requires two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) to operate. There is also the option to use rechargeable batteries. The film is transported automatically by an integrated motor.

Film selection for the Revue 450 AF

According to the instructions, the Revue 450 AF requires 35mm film. A wide range of such films is available, both in color and black and white.

The Ilford Delta 100* is particularly recommended for black and white photography. The Kodak Ultramax 400* is ideal for color photos. Both films are well compatible with the Revue 450 AF.

Color negative films are typically processed using the C-41 process. Numerous drugstores in Germany offer this development service. There are different development options for black and white films, either in a professional photo laboratory or at home with the appropriate equipment.
