The Lomography LomoChrome Color ’92 Sun-Kissed 400 is a color negative film. It was introduced by Lomography in July 2024. It is a variation of the Lomography LomoChrome Color ’92 introduced in 2023.

The LomoChrome Color ’92 Sun-Kissed 400 is designed for color images that are reminiscent of the look of the 1990s.

Lomography describes the look as follows: This versatile emulsion is designed to capture the warm tones of sunlight and create a radiant complexion. The unique formula allows for a wide range of color results, depending on the lighting conditions.

In bright sunlight, intense blues and oranges emerge, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere. In low-light situations, however, vibrant reds emerge, conveying warmth and depth. In the studio, the emulsion unfolds its soft green and blue tones, which create a calm and harmonious atmosphere.

Regardless of the lighting conditions, glossy black tones and a fine grain give each shot an unforgettable authenticity and depth. This makes the images appear particularly realistic and expressive.

The emulsion of the Lomography LomoChrome Color ’92 Sun-Kissed 400 is ideal for users who value warm colors and a wide range of design options. Whether outdoors or in the studio, this emulsion makes it possible to capture the beauty of light in all its facets and create unique images.

The film’s sensitivity is specified as ISO 400. The ISO value is a standardized value for the sensitivity of the film material to light. A film with a high ISO value is suitable for shots with a short shutter speed or a small aperture. This ISO value allows the film to be used well in many situations and is easily supported by many light meters.

Developing the film

To make the moments captured on the Lomography LomoChrome Color ’92 Sun-Kissed 400 visible, the C-41 development process is essential. This standardized process turns the latent images on the film into visible negatives. Most photo labs in Germany offer this service, so you can have your films professionally developed there.

For photographers who like to experiment or those who want more control over the process, there is also the option of taking the development into your own hands. With the right equipment and the right chemicals, you can also carry out the C-41 process at home.

The result of the development is film strips that contain the individual negatives. These negatives are the raw material for further use of the images. You can either have them enlarged on photo paper in the traditional way and thus create prints, or you can opt for digitization.

Many photo labs offer both development and the creation of prints and digitization. Special scanners are used for digitization that offer high resolution and color depth. These scanners are also available for home use, so you can digitize your negatives yourself.

The digital files obtained open up a variety of possibilities. You can edit them on the computer, share them on social media, use them for photo books or print them out in different sizes and formats.

Formats

36 images fit on a roll of film. Manufacturers such as Rollei, Lomography and Fujifilm offer suitable models for the 35mm format.
