The Polaroid Lightmixer 630 is an instant camera.
The plastic housing of the camera is gray and black. It also bears the imprint “LM Program”.
The Polaroid One Step Flash and the Lightmixer 630 have the same range of functions. It has a simple lens with fixed focus and focal length.
The exposure metering and setting is done by the camera itself and can only be influenced with the light/dark control. A simple viewfinder allows the user to look through the camera and focus on the subject. The built-in automatic flash and the camera itself are powered by a battery in the film pack.
Films for the instant camera
Films for the Lightmixer 630 are no longer manufactured by Polaroid. However, The Impossible Project has taken the place of Polaroid and produces instant films for this format. They have also been sold under the well-known brand again since 2020. Suitable for the Polaroid Lightmixer 630 are the Polaroid Color Film for 600* and the Polaroid B&W Film for 600*.
Batteries
What kind of batteries are required for the Polaroid instant camera? The power source for the camera is provided by a battery inside the film cassette, which contains the power needed for the camera technology and flash. Each time the film cassette is replaced, the battery is also replaced, so no additional battery is required. It is important to note that because of the battery, the film cassette should not be disposed of in the household trash. Instead, both the plastic cassette and the battery should be taken to a suitable local drop-off location.
Polaroid Lightmixer 630 SL
The Polaroid Lightmixer 630 SL is identical to the regular Lightmixer 630. However, a rainbow stripe decorates the instant camera.
