The Supersampler is the first in-house development of the Lomographic Society. It was completely designed, built and patented by Lomography.
This multi-lens camera makes four consecutive pseudo-panorama images on one frame. For this purpose it has four small lenses, they were arranged in a row, have a focal length of 20 mm and a fixed aperture of f/8.
The SuperSampler has two different shutter speeds that you can switch between, by a switch on the back of the camera: 2 seconds and 0.2 seconds. The 2 seconds is for action and movement. 0.2 seconds should be chosen if you want 4 identical images. Each lens exposes the film for 1/100 seconds.
To make sure you don’t miss the action, rewinding the film is also quick and easy. Just pull the cord and the camera is ready to go again.
A camera viewfinder to check the later image does not exist on this camera. A film window to see the loaded film is also unfortunately missing. The focus of the multi-lens camera is fixed. A battery is not necessary for the 35mm camera.
The 35mm camera has no connection for a flash, so should be fed with sensitive film on gloomy days. Ordinary 35mm film (eBay / Amazon*) is loaded into the multi-lens camera. Developing 35mm film should be straightforward for any lab.
Along with the camera, a 144-page booklet is also included in the package.
