The Voigtländer V-Chrome 100 is a slide film that is particularly well suited for use in 35mm cameras due to its high sensitivity of ISO 100. The film was sold under the brand of the traditional German company Voigtländer and was very popular with many photographers due to its excellent color reproduction and high contrast. The film stock was produced by another company.

Reversal film is developed using the E6 process, a development method specially developed for processing slide film. Unlike conventional negative film, slide film produces the finished image directly on the film, resulting in higher color saturation and sharpness.

Even today, the E6 process is still offered by many photo labs, so you can still have the Voigtländer V-Chrome 100 developed. After development, one receives the slides of the film. Some labs cut the film strips and put the individual images into slide frames. These slides can then be projected onto the wall with a slide projector. Of course, it is also possible to digitize the slides with a scanner.

However, the film is no longer produced today, which is unfortunate for many photographers who enjoyed using Voigtländer film.

As an alternative in the amateur sector, one can reach for the AgfaPhoto CT Precisa 100, which has similar properties to the Voigtländer V-Chrome 100. This film is also a slide film with a sensitivity of ISO 100 and is ideal for use in 35 mm cameras. The color film is also developed in the E6 development process.

Of course, you can use both films in a normal 35 mm camera, even if it was not produced by Voigtländer.
