The Trekpleister 100 is a color negative film. It was sold by the Dutch drugstore chain under its house brand. It was aimed at amateurs and was produced by a supplier. Today, of course, this film is no longer in the Trekpleister range, which is now part of the A.S. Watson Group.

The Trekpleister 100 is a film for classic color pictures. According to the manufacturer, the film should be exposed to ISO 100. The sensitivity of the film material to light is described by the ISO value. A higher sensitivity of the film is achieved by a higher ISO value, which can lead to shorter exposure times or a smaller aperture.

Developing the film

When the film is full, it must be developed using the C-41 process, which is available at most photo labs in Germany. This development process is standardized, and the Trekpleister 100 can be developed at Rossmann or DM-Markt, for example, to obtain film strips with the captured images.

The next step is usually either digitization or the conventional production of photographic prints. Many developing laboratories directly offer the creation of prints in various sizes as a service.

A scanner can be used to convert negatives to digital formats. There is a wide range of equipment available for digitizing negatives, varying in features and quality. There are suitable options for every budget.

Once the images have been digitized, there is the option of sharing them on various social media platforms or producing them in printed form.

Availability and alternatives

The Trekpleister 100 was only available in 35mm format. Typically, 36 images fit on a roll of film. The cartridge of the film was DX coded. By using this code, some camera models could automatically adjust the film speed. There was also an ISO 200 variant of the film.

The color film is no longer in production. The Kodak Gold 200* could be a replacement for 35mm film.
