The Topico PR-936 is a simple viewfinder camera designed for use with 35mm film.
The built-in lens is permanently attached to the camera body and cannot be changed. The optics have a focal length of 25 mm. Manual focusing is not necessary, as the sharpness of the lens is pre-set. For appealing results, it is recommended to maintain a distance of at least one meter from the object being photographed.
Unlike various other cameras, this model does not have a built-in exposure metering system.
The weight of the Topico PR-936, according to the manufacturer’s specifications, is 110 grams with dimensions of 12 x 6.9 x 4.5 cm. According to the manual, the device operates purely mechanically and does not require batteries for taking photos.
Particularly noteworthy about this plastic camera is the panorama mask. This is located inside and covers a part of the image, creating the impression of a panorama.
Films for the Topico PR-936
According to the documentation, the Topico PR-936 is loaded with standard 35mm film. Since this film type is still manufactured, development in common photo labs is easily possible.
The Ilford Delta 400* for monochrome photos and the Kodak Portra 400* for color shots are suitable, easily available film materials for this model. Various test reports indicate that these two films are versatile and enable reliable images.
The development of color film is carried out using the standardized C-41 process. Almost all photo labs offer this type of film development in their services.
Due to the lack of an electric film transport, changing to the next individual frame is done via a manual mechanism.
