Sincere L-101

The Sincere L-101 is a simple viewfinder camera. It was manufactured in China and is of simple construction. A similar model was sold under the brand “Time”. The housing is made of plastic and, apart from that, it is not of very high quality.

The lens on this model is permanently built into the housing and cannot be changed. It has a focal length of 50 mm and a maximum aperture of f/6. Manual focusing has been omitted; instead, the camera relies on a fixed-focus system that renders everything sharp from a certain distance.

There is no integrated exposure meter. To be able to take photos in low light conditions, an external flash unit can be connected via the hot-shoe connection. Since the camera operates purely mechanically, no batteries or power are needed for triggering and operation.

Unlike a proper SLR camera, the viewfinder is not connected to the lens.

Films for the Sincere L-101

According to the user manual, the Sincere L-101 is designed for 35mm films. Since 35mm format is still the standard in analog photography, users have a wide range of film materials available. The exposure area corresponds to the classic format of 24 mm x 36 mm. Film transport is done manually, as the camera does not have an automatic motor.

For the development of color films, most labs use the established C-41 process, which makes image development straightforward.

When it comes to color photography, the Kodak Ultramax 400* is often the choice of photographers who want to capture versatile and colorful images. For lovers of black and white photography, on the other hand, the Ilford Delta 400* is a good choice, known for its fine contrast.

The Sincere L-101 is no longer manufactured and is therefore only available used. The price for a unit varies depending on its optical condition and technical functionality.
