The Minolta Riva series is a series of compact cameras from the Japanese company. Most models came onto the market in the 1990s and 2000s. The Freedom series included a large number of versions. These cameras were mainly sold in the USA.
The primary target audience of the series consisted of casual users, amateurs, and hobby photographers. Therefore, they relied heavily on automation and a limited number of configuration options. A zoom lens is present on some models. All versions are equipped with a flash. A self-timer and a red-eye reduction function when using the flash are also very popular.
