In practical handling tests, however, one point becomes apparent. The aperture ring from the manufacturer rotates smoothly and has no noticeable detents. In practice, however, this digital adjustment shows a mixed picture. Personally, I don't really like the corrected look. The digital rectification of the images stretches the corners extremely, leading to a noticeable loss of sharpness at the edges.

Moreover, the actual character that makes a fisheye lens what it is gets lost. The curved optics are intended as a creative tool. If you want a straight wide-angle photo, you usually achieve more balanced results with a true wide-angle lens than by subsequent alignment in software.
