The Polaroid Pronto! RF (Rangefinder) is an instant camera for SX-70 films. It was presented by Polaroid in 1977.
The Pronto! RF is practically identical to the Polaroid Pronto!. However, it is equipped with a rangefinder. This was to make manual focusing easier.
From the Pronto! RF, a “SE”, “BC” and “Sears Special” variant were also produced.
As for film, the RF, like the normal Pronto!, requires SX-70 instant film.
Polaroid no longer makes film, but there is film available from The Impossible Project to fit this format. The films are sold under the Polaroid brand.
All SX-70 films from Impossible can be used in the Polaroid Pronto! RF. For color images, for example, the Polaroid Color Film for SX-70* and for B&W images the Polaroid B&W Film for SX-70* would be a possibility.
Overview of the other features of the Polaroid Pronto! RF
- Automatic exposure
- Light/Dark slider
- Near focus limit 3 ft (just under 1 meter)
- Plastic housing
- Power supply by battery in film cassette
