The Olympus PF 70-210mm f/3.5-4.5 is a lens from the 1980s. It was manufactured in a factory in Japan. It was aimed more at amateur photographers and less than professional users.
The lens comes with a zoom and has a zoom ratio of 3. The focal length at one end is 70 mm and at the other end 210 mm. f/3.5 and f/4.5 at the end of the zoom are the largest apertures. The smallest possible aperture goes from f/22 to f/27. The closest focusing distance is listed as 60 centimeters at 210 mm in close-up mode.
The zoom lens doesn’t come with an autofocus, but you don’t have to adjust the distance by turning the focus ring either. It is one of the few models in the “PowerFokus” (PF) series. The focus and aperture are set on the camera. The setting from the camera are then changed electronically and with a motor in the lens.
The only model in the Olympus OM series for this system is the OM-101 PF. You can’t use it on other SLR cameras because you can’t make the adjustments on the lens itself.
The Olympus PF 70-210mm f/3.5-4.5 is composed of twelve elements in nine groups. A 55mm filter lens, such as an Orange filter, can be screwed in front of the lens. The length of the lens is 12.5 cm with a maximum diameter of 7.6 cm.
