The Nikon BF100 is a camera from Nikon. It is a simple snapshot camera. It was introduced to the public in 1997.
The lens of the camera is fixed. The focal length is unchangeable and is 34 mm. The largest available aperture is f/4.5. The focus of the lens is fixed.
Exposure
The 35mm camera has a built-in exposure meter. The camera technology is equipped with automatic exposure. The photographer cannot choose the aperture and exposure time. Both values are set automatically by the electronics.
One of the most positive aspects of the automatic exposure control of a snapshot camera is the ease of use it offers. With this feature, the camera takes care of determining the optimal exposure settings for the shot, allowing the user to focus on framing and composition. This is especially beneficial for beginners or those who just want to quickly capture a moment without having to worry about the technical aspects of photography.
Sufficient light is provided by the built-in flash. This is also automatically controlled by the camera. The power source of the 35 mm camera are two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). The camera measures 12.2 x 7.4 x 5.2 cm and weighs 190 grams.
Films for the Nikon BF100
The Nikon BF100 uses 35mm films according to the manual. The 35mm format is very common, therefore there are still some manufacturers and many development laboratories. The Kodak Ultramax 400* is a possible colour film for the Nikon BF100. Black and white images are possible with the AgfaPhoto APX 400*.
The colour film is processed in the C-41 process. This development process is carried out by all photo labs that offer development of 35mm film. The black-and-white film goes into a black-and-white developer.

Another variation of the camera was this Quartz Date model. It is able to print the date of taking the picture in the photo.
