At the end of 2015, production of the popular Holga cameras was discontinued. Now it looks like the Holga 120 N is coming back.
The enterprising photo supplier from the USA, Freestyle Photographic Supplies, has been able to take over the molds from the old factory. These will now be used to build new specimens of the toy camera. The first delivery is expected in June 2017. Prices are not yet known.
The Holga 120 N was introduced in the 80s and aimed at the Chinese market with its low price. But the plastic camera also convinced serious photographers with images featuring vignetting, light leaks and the like.
