Developing the film

There is no standardized development process, as with C-41 films. The Arista EDU Ultra B&W 100 can be processed in different black and white developers. The exposed film can be delivered to some developing laboratories in Germany. It is also possible to develop the film yourself. The finished negatives can then be scanned and printed, for example.

Development times

The development times of the Arista EDU Ultra B&W 100 are the same as those of the Fomapan 100.

Formats

The EDU Ultra B&W 100 is made up in 35mm format only. At a size of 24 x 36 mm per frame, 36 shots will fit on a single roll of film. The cartridge of the 35mm film does not have a DX code for the automatic reading of the film speed. Therefore, it may be difficult to use in a camera that only reads the speed via the DX code. The Ultra B&W 100 is also available by the meter for self-winding.

If you want to expose the film in a medium format camera or large format camera (large format sizes (4x5", 5x7", 8x10")), you have to reach for the "original" from Foma. It used to be available in these formats, but they have been discontinued.

Besides the 100 film, there is also the Arista EDU Ultra B&W 200 and the Arista EDU Ultra B&W 400. Both films also come from the Foma factory in Hradec Kralove. Respectively, the Fomapan 200 and the Fomapan 400 are in the cartridge.
