There is increasing movement in the field of instant photography. Fujifilm has now introduced a new instant camera, the Instax Mini 9.
In 2013, the Instax Mini 8 was introduced, and with the Instax Mini 9 there is now a revised version of the successful instant camera. The camera is aimed primarily at a young audience.
The form factor of the plastic camera has remained relatively the same. The biggest innovation is the selfie mirror next to the lens. This makes taking selfies much easier. For close-ups from 0.35 m, there is also a close-up lens.
As with the Instax Mini 8, there are various exposure modes for different shooting situations. There is also a High-Key mode for a bright and soft look.
The Instax Mini 9 exposes Instax Mini films. For this format there is a color film and a film for black and white images. In one pack / cassette there are 10 pictures. The pictures are the size of a credit card (86 mm x 54 mm). The frame around the pictures can be written on.
The camera is powered by two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*).

The Instax Mini 9 will be available at launch in three colors, Flamingo Pink, Ice Blue and Lime Green. In June, two more versions in Cobalt Blue and Smokey White will follow.
The price for a camera will be 84 euros. It should be available in stores from May 2017. The price of the Instax Mini 8 is currently between 65 and 70 euros (Amazon).
