Storage and development

To ensure optimal image quality, it is important to store the unexposed film in a cool and dry place. After exposure, the film should be developed as quickly as possible to avoid possible loss of quality. The AirColor 100D is developed using the C-41 process, a widely used standard process offered by most photo labs. The large drugstore chains in Germany even accept the film by post for development.

After development, you receive your recordings as film strips, which you can either order as prints in various sizes or have digitized. Many photo labs offer this service, but you can also use your own scanner to digitize your negatives at home.

Formats and cameras

The AirColor 100D is available in 35mm format (24 x 36 mm) with 36 exposures per film and in medium format. There is a wide selection of compatible cameras for the 35mm format from manufacturers such as Olympus, Revue and Leica. In medium format you can use models from Hasselblad, Yashica, Rollei and others.

A roll of 35mm film costs between 2000-3000 yen in 2024. The medium format film is available at a price between 2000-2500 yen in Japan.
