The Simple-Use Film Camera is a disposable camera from Lomography. It was introduced in April 2017 and comes in three versions.
The 35mm camera comes with a pre-loaded Lomography film. Choices include Lomography Lady Grey B&W 400 black and white film, Lomography Color Negative 400, and Lomography Lomochrome Purple. Each camera can be used to take 36 pictures. If the film is full, it can be replaced later with a new film.
The disposable camera comes with a 31 mm plastic lens. The lens is fixed and cannot be focused (1 meter to infinity). The exposure time (1/120 sec) and aperture (f/9) cannot be changed either.
The Simple Use cameras come with a built-in flash. This has a recharge time of 15 seconds and is powered by an AA battery. The color film cameras also come with three color filters for coloring the flash.
The disposable cameras can be developed in a photo lab or the LomoLab. The development for the color films is done in the C-41 process. This is offered by most photo labs. The camera can be returned for development at DM and Rossmann. The development with prints costs less than 5 Euro.
The camera with the black and white film cannot simply be handed in at a large laboratory if you want good results. The black and white film must be processed in a proper black and white developer. Rodinal, XTOL, D76 and similar are possible.
The dimensions of the disposable camera are 115 x 60 x 33 mm.
The disposable cameras come with a manual. You probably won’t really need the manual. Like all disposable cameras, it is very easy to use. So the cameras are good for weddings and parties to capture beautiful moments in memory shots.
