The Kodak VR35 K10 is a 35mm camera of the VR35 series. It was built by Eastman Kodak from 1986 to 1988. The production of the cameras took place in Japan. The exterior of the camera is black. Plastic was mainly used as the material for the housing. There is an attachment for a camera strap on the side.

The 35mm camera comes with a fixed lens. The name “Kodak Ektanar” adorns the lens. The focal length is 35mm and the maximum aperture is f/3.5. The 35mm photo camera is equipped with autofocus.

According to the manual, the Kodak VR35 K10 has a built-in light meter. It was designed for films with a sensitivity of ISO 100, ISO 200, ISO 400 and ISO 1000. The film speed is read out via the DX code. The aperture and exposure time are set automatically and cannot be changed.

A flash is installed for pictures in low light. For taking pictures the flash is folded upwards, when the camera is not in use this part serves as a protection for the lens. There is no thread for a tripod with the camera.

For the power supply, a Kodak Ultralife battery is actually necessary. This battery was developed especially for some Kodak models and is hard to find today. As a replacement, you can reach for a 9V battery (eBay / Amazon*).

Films for the Kodak VR35 K10

What kind of films does the Kodak VR35 K10 need? Films of the 35mm format are used. 35mm films are still produced today and can be developed in most labs. Possible films for this model are the Kodak Gold 200* for color images and the Kodak TRI-X 400* for black and white images.

The negatives of the 35mm camera have a size of 24 mm x 36 mm, so 36 images fit on one roll of film. The film is rewound manually in the photo camera. This is very unusual for a camera of this type, especially since the rest of the camera relies on automatics.
