The Kodak Daylight is a disposable camera. The disposable camera features a minimalist design and excellent ease of use.

The camera is embedded in a plastic housing, which contains a fixed lens. The lens has a fixed focal length, which is around 28 mm, providing a wide angle of view. This model does not offer the possibility to adjust the focus on the subject, as the focus is rigid. A minimum distance of one meter from the subject is necessary for crystal clear images.

Both aperture and shutter speed are predetermined on this camera. There are no adjustment options in terms of exposure on this model.

The camera is not equipped with a built-in flash. Therefore, it is advisable to use it mainly when there is a lot of light and to resort to another disposable camera when there is less light.

Applications

Using a disposable camera is a magical and nostalgic way to capture special moments. It is ideal for various events, including celebrations, weddings, vacations or outings with friends.

With its ease of use and analog flair, it allows users to experience the moment and focus on what’s important without having to deal with the technicalities of a modern camera.

Disposable cameras are perfect for capturing memories in their purest form and feeling the surprise and joy of unwrapping the pictures. Whether at a boisterous party, a romantic wedding celebration, an exciting vacation or an adventure with friends, a disposable camera adds a nostalgic touch to any occasion and captures those special moments in a unique way.

Films for the Kodak Daylight

The Kodak Daylight uses 35mm films. One film is already preset in the camera. It is a color negative film with a light sensitivity of ISO 800.

ISO 800 is good for shooting under a variety of lighting conditions. Since it is a color negative film, slight mis-exposures are no problem.

The exposure range of the camera is 24 mm x 36 mm. The film is advanced manually to the next frame. Rewinding the film is not necessary. There are two variants of the camera, either for 27 frames or 39 frames.

Development

After all the pictures have been taken, the film or the entire camera must be taken for development. Many professional photo labs offer disposable camera development.

The C-41 process is a common method for developing color film. This process is offered by most labs. After the development process is completed, the negatives are obtained. Photo prints can be made from these negatives or they can be digitized. Most suppliers provide these services directly.
