The Kodak Bright Sun & Flash 200 is a color negative film. It was produced by Kodak in the USA. It was mainly aimed at occasional users and amateurs. In addition to the 200 film, there was also a version with ISO 100.

The Kodak Bright & Sun Flash 200 can be used to take color pictures. The film’s recommended ISO is ISO 200, and as you might guess from the name, it’s meant for daylight shots in the sun or with flash. The color images are solid, but nothing particularly exceptional either.

Development of the Kodak Bright Sun & Flash 200

Of course, you can still use the film if you can still get your hands on a roll. Once the 35mm film is full, it needs to be developed, and for that, it usually undergoes the C-41 process. Most photo labs offer this standardized development process to ensure that the same result is achieved regardless of the lab.

If you want to have full control over the development process, you can also develop the film yourself, provided you have the proper chemistry.

After processing, you get the film strips with your own images. Afterwards, one can consider either digitizing or making conventional photographic prints. Many developing labs directly offer the creation of prints in various sizes as a service.

Digitization

If one wishes to further process the photos in digital form, it is recommended to digitize the film strips with a scanner. Some photo labs offer a scanning service for negatives, while one can also purchase a scanner for personal use.

The digitized images can be shared on various platforms, including social media, or printed in other formats to be used in a variety of ways.

Formats

The Kodak Bright Sun & Flash 200 was only offered for 35mm cameras. With one roll of film, you can press the shutter 24 times. The cartridge in which the film is located is marked with a DX code. Among the manufacturers that offer / have offered suitable cameras for the 35mm format are Zorki, Mamiya and Porst.

As an alternative for the Kodak Bright Sun & Flash 200, you can simply reach for the Kodak Gold 200*.
