Kodak 835AF

The Kodak 835AF is a simple 35mm camera. It is made of black plastic and was built in a factory in the Asian country of Hong Kong.

The lens is fixed; there is no zoom. The flash is also fixed to the camera. There are no adjustment possibilities. It is therefore very easy to use and is well suited for beginners.

The flash fires automatically and cannot be switched off. A light on the back indicates that the flash is ready. After each exposure, the film is transported further in the Kodak 835AF.

The value of a used copy today is a few euros. So it is not difficult to get hold of a copy of the 35mm camera.

Films for the Kodak 835AF

The Kodak 835AF uses 35mm film. This type of film is still in production and can be processed by most photo labs without any problems. A colour film for the 35mm camera would be the Agfaphoto Vista 200*. A possible film for black and white images is the Ilford Delta 400*.

Colour film is developed using the C-41 process. This is offered by almost every photo lab. For example, the large drugstore chains in Germany offer the development of colour film. As a rule, 36 pictures fit on one roll of film.
