The Hands On Film Dawn 200 is a color negative film. The film is distributed by Hands On Film, a photo laboratory from Singapore. The material in the cartridge is produced by another company. The material is actually intended for the production of cinema films.
The sensitivity of the film material is given as ISO 200. It has a wide exposure latitude.
Development and digitalization
The Dawn 200 is developed using the ECN-2 process. This special process allows the film speed to be adjusted during development to get the best possible result from every shot. However, not all photo laboratories offer the development process.
After development, the negatives can either be enlarged on photo paper or digitized. Digitalization opens up a wide range of possibilities for further processing and archiving images.
Formats and cameras
The Hands on Film Dawn 200 is available in the standard 35mm format and therefore fits in most analog cameras. Whether it’s an SLR camera, a rangefinder camera or a compact viewfinder camera – the Dawn 200 is easy to use. The 36 exposures per film roll offer enough space for creative experiments and make it possible to capture different motifs.
Storage of film material
To maintain the quality of the film material, the Dawn 200 should be stored in a cool and dry place. Ideally it is stored in the refrigerator to prevent premature aging. Before use, the film should be slowly brought to room temperature to avoid condensation. When stored properly, the Dawn 200 retains its properties over a long period of time and continues to deliver excellent results even after years.
