The Halina Vision ultra-compact is a camera by Haking from Hong Kong. The camera is simple in design and comes with a plastic body.

A fixed lens is installed in the camera. The focal length will range from 28mm to 35mm. There is no zoom. It is not possible to change the focus settings. Therefore, manual focus cannot be placed on the subject.

The camera probably doesn’t have an exposure meter. There is a built-in flash for that. The flash can be turned on manually. This is particularly useful indoors and in the evening.

The camera requires two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). These batteries are only necessary for the flash. All other functions are mechanical.

Films for the Halina Vision ultra-compact

The Halina Vision ultra-compact requires 35mm film for photography. The camera itself is of course more manufactured. But there are still several providers who produce such films.

For color photography with this camera, the Kodak Ultramax 400* is preferable, while the Ilford FP4 Plus* is ideal for black and white photography. Both films are great for everyday use or travel and have received positive reviews.

The color film uses the C-41 development process. This process is offered by most photo labs. Large drugstore chains in Germany also offer the development of color films.

The Halina Vision ultra-compact has an exposure area of 24 mm x 36 mm. Typically, up to 36 frames can be captured on 135-36 film with this exposure range. After each exposure, the film has to be advanced manually. There is a thumb wheel on the back for this. A counter next to the shutter release provides information about the photos taken.
